I want to let you know about the new yoga timetable in The Back Room for 2020, and to invite you to the first Community Yoga class of this year.
I ask myself this regularly and the answer always comes to me clearly. Firstly, yoga has been such a help to me in settling my anxious mind, in becoming stronger physically and to bring a little structure to my life. Secondly, I teach because teaching is in my blood and I love to pass on information or skills (mind you, why I bothered with bunsen burners and measuring cylinders for such a long time is beyond me.) And lastly, I teach because I love to see people gathering together to bring some form of wellbeing to our lives.
I realise that this information applies mostly to those living within a 100km radius of Forbes (yes, we have participants who actually drive that far for a class) but it’s a big part of what I do so I want to keep you all in the loop. It’s also a reminder to take some time to do something fun and life giving for yourself. And to schedule it in.
Term 1 Yoga classes being offered:
Tuesday 9.30am Rejuvenating Vinyasa Yoga: a class with energy to start the day with movement and Vinyasa flow, including breath work and meditation.
Wednesday 7pm Restorative Yoga: a class with relaxation incorporated into a slower flowing pace, including breath work and meditation.
Thursday 6pm Restorative Yoga: a class with relaxation incorporated into a slower flowing pace, including breath work and meditation.
Saturday 7am Community Yoga in Wheogo Park: I will pop a class in here and there and I will let you know via this weekly letter and on Instagram. See below!
Yoga classes in The Back Room are suitable for all comers – beginners through to seasoned practisers of yoga. There are progressions and regressions made for all bodies.
Dates for this block of classes:
The yoga timetable runs alongside school terms, so when’s school is in so are we!
Tuesday 9.30am yoga: Feb 4, Feb 11, Feb 18, Feb 25 and March 3.
Wednesday 7pm yoga: Feb 5, Feb 12, (No yoga Feb 19) Feb 26, March 4 and March 11.
Thursday 6pm yoga: Feb 6, Feb 13 (No yoga Feb 20) Feb 27, March 5 and March 12.
When you sign up, you are asked to commit to a minimum five week block of classes. This means an upfront payment of $80 (which works out at $16 per class.)
The Saturday morning class in Wheogo Park will be $10pp and there’s no need to sign up – you can rock on up each time.
A casual visit is $18 and is subject to availability.
The Back Room can accommodate 10 people on a mat, and those reading this newsletter will have first offer.
All equipment – including mats, bolsters and blocks are provided.
