Grease and Oil Change 2020

Time: 9am, 20 Feb 2020 Place: Trundle Memorial Hall

Time: 6pm, 20 Feb 2020 Place: Forbes Town Hall

This will be our 5th year of The Grease and Oil Change, a Not For Profit event for our rural communities, organised with my gorgeous friend Melissa Brown.

What is it? A brain and body workshop for rural men and women.

Who should go? Anyone – all ages – living within a rural community who would like to hear and know more about living an even better life.

Who will be speaking?

Georgie Dent is a journalist, author and one of the leading voices for women in Australia. She is the contributing editor of Women’s Agenda, a columnist in The Sun Herald & The Age on Sunday, contributes to Marie Claire, appears regularly on television and is a passionate advocate for gender equality and mental health. Her first book, a memoir titled Breaking Badly, was published in May 2019 and was reprinted on the same day due to ‘unprecedented’ demand.

Craig Hamilton is best known in these parts as a member of the “Grandstand” Rugby League commentary team. In 2000, respected sports broadcaster Craig Hamilton was hospitalised after suffering a public psychotic episode. He was later diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder. The experience was traumatic, but encouraged Craig to speak up and challenge the stigma associated with mental illness and health.

Where is it being held? The Trundle event is at the Trundle Memorial Hall & the Forbes event is at the Forbes Town Hall in 2020

How much does it cost? FREE, COMPLETELY FREE!

Will we be fed? Absolutely! Local caterers will be taking care of delicious and nutritious food to nourish our bodies.

What about kids? If you can’t find any babysitting, then by all means bring them (and maybe a good book to keep them occupied!)

How long does it go for? We’re allowing two hours – but the conversations always seem to be so magic on these days that you might stay longer.

Why do I need to RSVP if it’s free? So we know how much food to prepare!

Our sponsors are awesome: Stay tuned for who they are (and get in touch if you would like to be a supporter of this event)
