There are so many things that I love about Community Yoga. I love that it’s outside in the fresh air, I love that we come together as a community to support each other and I love that it’s a fantastic way to kick off a Saturday.
Let’s talk logistics…
Time: 7.30am (for a 45 minute class.)
Where: Wheogo Park Forbes (across the road from the Waffle Van…handy!!)
Cost: $10 cash, payable at the class.
Who is it for: Anyone who is interested in moving their body and becoming a little more aware of their mind, breathing and looking after ourselves. Teens are welcome as are all genders.
The style of Yoga…
The style of yoga that I am trained is Vinyasa, along with Chair Yoga, and I love incorporating a wide range of movements and postures as a way of connecting with our bodies.
I will be creating classes that feel really good, right for the time and a way for many different and all bodies to take part. The classes are a beautiful combination of balancing, stretching and relaxing.
It’s a beautiful combo of breathing, movements to enhance our flexibility, balance and strength and mindfulness practices.
Here is a list of often asked questions (and answers):
Q: What if I have never done yoga before? A: There was a time when no one had done yoga before. See you on Saturday.
Q: What if I can’t touch my toes without bending my knees? A: Me neither. See you on Saturday morning.
Q: Do I need to wear lycra? A: Do you like wearing lycra? I’ll leave that with you. See you on Saturday morning.
Q: What if I don’t own a mat? A: Then a beach towel is perfect. See you on Saturday morning.
Q: What if I have trouble getting up and down from the ground? A: You could bring your own chair or a rolled up towel to help with that. I love doing yoga from the chair. See you on Saturday morning.
Q: What if I can’t get my mind to switch off during the mindfulness practice? A: Me neither (it’s not supposed to.) See you on Saturday morning.
Q: What if money is a bit tight? A: Don’t let that stop you, just let me know and we can work something out. See you on Saturday morning.
